Review the details below: REACH of Jackson County was founded in 1978 as a grassroots response to domestic violence and sexual assault in our rural Appalachian community. Today we provide comprehensive services to families traumatized by violence. Volunteers provide 24 hour hotline coverage, assist with our Thrift Store and operate the Community Table, a donation based restaurant. An emergency shelter provide safe housing for up to 90 days. Community education continues to be a key component of REACH's work. Programs to let the public know who we are, what services we provide, and the tragic costs of family violence to the individual and to the community are ongoing.
